This event aims to create a platform for Black and Ethnic founders to create a peer-to-peer network and spotlight support available.

What will the event cover?

 

Come along to listen to a series of spotlight talks that will highlight available resource for Black and minority founders then the floor will be open to networking.

 

We will be addressing the challenges that black and minority founders often face in accessing resources such as programme support, mentorship, and networking opportunities. Showcasing the support networks and organizations that are dedicated to bridging this gap and providing equitable access to resources.

18:10 - 18:25 = Spotlight 1: Marquis Caines, Co-Founder of DiversityX and Chapter Lead at BYP

 

DiversityX is a community for overlooked underestimated founders® and an angel syndicate with a mission to support underestimated founders® who have the potential to make a significant impact in their respective industries.​BYP Cardiff is a community of Black professionals in South Wales across various industries connecting with each other and with leading companies to advance their careers. We host events that build strong relationships and support personal and professional growth shining a spotlight on Black leaders, allies and inclusive organisations

 
 

18:30 - 18:45 = Spotlight 2: Puti Fofana, Product Manager at Certn and Codebar Cardiff Lead.

 

Codebar is a charity that facilitates the growth of a diverse tech community by running free regular programming workshops for minority groups in tech.

 
 

18:45 - 19:00 = Spotlight 3: Barclays Eagle Labs

 

Barclays Eagle Labs have partnered with Foundervine to run the Barclays Black Founder Accelerator, a programme especially designed to champion diversity in entrepreneurship and showcase Black Founder-led businesses. Foundervine is an award-winning social enterprise with a strong track record of helping entrepreneurs from under-represented communities to start their own business

Black and minority founders who are looking to connect with other founders from diverse backgrounds. Come meet the Welsh Tech Ecosystem and access a platform of support to encourage diversity, allies who want to support diversity and inclusion.
